Prinsip Ekklesia Reformata Semper Reformanda sebagai Dasar Pembaharuan Gereja dan Pendidikan Teologi di Era Globalisasi dan Digitalisasi

Abstract

This study analyzes the principle of Ekklesia Reformata Semper Reformanda as the foundation for church renewal amid globalization and digitalization, and formulates its implications for theological education and church nurture. This qualitative study employs systematic theology analysis and literature review of primary and secondary sources, including Scripture, Reformation theology, contemporary theological works, and studies on globalization and digitalization. The findings show that this principle affirms the church’s call to continual renewal according to the Word of God and the Holy Spirit’s work without altering foundational doctrines. This renewal encompasses Christological, pneumatological, soteriological, ecclesiological, missiological, and eschatological dimensions. In the digital era, the church must be critical of information flows, religious consumerism, and spiritual superficiality, while creative in developing contextual and transformative ministry. The implications include Christ-centered faith formation rooted in Scripture, responsive to the Holy Spirit, and capable of equipping members with theological and digital literacy, enabling the church to carry out the missio Dei faithfully.
